Purpose.

This project concept revolves around turning a shoe brand into a café with other programs to support it. I chose the brand, Feiyue, a robust shoe brand that brings all walks of life together, from Shaolin Arts to fashion streetwear. The first pair of Feiyue’s hit the streets of Shanghai in 1920s and it has forever kept its clean, simple, and classic DNA. Because these shoes were made with such simple materials like gum rubber soles with a thin cotton canvas upper, it allows a lot of breathability and flexibility for many types of activities.
