AURA.

Interactive Kinetic Installation

Art in nature has been a common aesthetic, but what if it can become a function? Aura is installed along running trails allowing runners to interact with art itself. When seen in the distance, it becomes a checkpoint for runners to reach, and its interactivity gives runners just a little bit more energy to cross it.

It's neutral state is cladded with mirrors to blend the sculpture with the natural surroundings, and when visitors run next to it, each individual pieces rotate to reveal a strong cobalt blue color, creating an aura that follows the runner.

BROOKS LAB.

Retail and Recovery Space

What can Brooks do to stand out? Most runners try on shoes in stores, and do not get the full experience of how the shoe feels. This experience based retail store allows runners to get fitted for the right shoe, and allow them to try them out in a Brooks Running Retreat out in nature.

Recovery Space

Focusing on brand colors and vibrancy, the lab gives off a futuristic vibe that allows visitors to trust in their advanced technology.

Translucent glass gives still gives privacy while allowing visitors to get a glimpse of what is inside or outside.

The curved architecture takes inspiration from the Brooks Logo and creates a clean flow from the start of the experience until the end.

The Transitional Tunnel

As runners finish their session in the Brooks Lab, their next steps is to take their new shoes on a test run in nature. This kinetic tunnel transitions the visitor from a futuristic lab aesthetic to a natural setting.

This experiential graphic changes its color from Brooks vibrant color to a natural green as they get closer to the end of the tunnel. The color is determined by the shoes that each visitor has chosen to take for a test run.
